Graduate Studies Assistant

Grade 4: £21,220 - £24,565 p.a.

Applications are invited for a full-time Graduate Studies Assistant in the Faculty of English Language and Literature. Reporting to the Academic Administrator and working alongside the part-time Graduate Studies Officer, the postholder will be responsible for providing information, advice and guidance to academics, current and prospective graduate students, and assisting with all aspects of the graduate admissions process and administration for on-course students. Working closely with the academics holding the roles of Director of Graduate Studies, Director of Graduate Admissions and Chair of MSt and MPhil Examiners, they will play a key role in dealing with the Faculty’s graduate students. The appointee will also form part of the wider administration team in the English Faculty and may be asked to take on a broader range of duties from time to time.

This is a responsible and demanding position in a busy office environment, which provides an excellent opportunity to develop existing administrative skills in an academic environment. Applicants should have experience in an administrative role, with good attention to detail, communication, organisational and IT skills.
