Dr Catherine Redford

My research interests lie in Romantic and Victorian literature, and I have published on Mary Shelley, Lord Byron, H. G. Wells, and the Gothic. I am particularly interested in depictions of apocalypse and dystopia in nineteenth-century literature. My doctoral thesis, which I am currently revising for publication as a monograph, considered the figure of the ‘Last Man’ on earth in Romantic literature.
