A brand-new take on one of Chaucer’s darkest and most compelling tales. The ‘Pardoner’s Tale’ has captured readers’ imaginations across time – and was even the inspiration for Harry Potter’s Deathly Hallows! Creation Theatre’s newly-commissioned theatrical adaptation brings the tale right up to date while staying true to the strange beauty of Chaucer’s vision.
Wednesday’s performance will take place at The James Street Tavern. On Thursday we’re heading to The Covered Market for a performance followed by a post show talk featuring responses and discussion with a panel including Patience Agbabi, poet and author of Telling Tales and contributor to Refugee Tales, and Marion Turner, biographer and academic, author of Chaucer: A European Life.
Supported by Jesus College, the English Faculty, and TORCH
