Thesis Title: Impressions of the Learned Thumb: A Literary Assessment of Wulfstan
Supervisor: Professor Francis Leneghan
Research Interests: Old English prose; the relationship between literature and documentary material, literature and early medieval material culture.
I studied for my undergraduate degree in English at King's College London, where I undertook a King's Undergraduate Research Fellowship (KURF). This was followed by an MSt in English (650-1550) at the University of Oxford. I was subsequently awarded a research grant by the University of Turku in Finland and worked on a large-scale project exploring graphic literacy. My DPhil research is generously funded by the News UK Studentship and Wilfrid Knapp Scholarship (Arts).
My short introductions to Wulfstan's works can be found on ROEP (Resources for Old English Prose).
